Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (Walta) – Residents of Oromia region have contributed 1 billion 35 million birr to the construction of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in the past one year through 8100, gifts, and bond purchases.
A panel discussion is held in Oromia Region, Adama city regarding the departure of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Cup.
Oromia Regional Government Deputy President Awolu Abdi, said the residents of the region have contributed 1 billion 35 million birr to the construction of the dam in the past one year through 8100, gifts, and bond purchases.
Oromia region received the Great Renaissance Dam Cup from Dredawa City Administration in November 2021 and has been collecting the income from the society for the construction of the dam.
