Peace Agreement Gets Int’l Support


Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (Walta) – Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Meles Alem, announced the peace deal between the Ethiopian Government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), got international support.

Ambassador Meles Alem, gave the Ministry’s biweekly press briefing today to the media.

In his presentation, the Ambassador said the government is working focusing on mobilize resources for reconstruction work at the war destructed areas.

Ambassador Meles further briefed rehabilitating the citizens who were displaced by the war and returning them to their homes is being done.

In the past two years, Ethiopia achieved successful diplomatic mission through the effectiveness of the country’s appointment of Ambassadors, Scholars and relevant government official, the ambassador said.

In citizen-oriented diplomacy, 4,300 Ethiopians were repatriated from Zambia, Yemen and Saudi Arabia last week.
