ICRC Distributes NPS, Urea Fertilizers to 20,000 Households In Tigray –


Addis Ababa, August 8, 2022 (Walta) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced that it is distributing NPS and Urea fertilizer to 20,000 households (120,000 individuals) in Central, Eastern, South Eastern and Southern zones in Tigray region.

ICRC stated that it is working to enhance the productivity of conflict-affected farmers in Tigray. In June, ICRC distributed crop seeds to 390,000 farmers affected by drought and conflict in different parts of the country.

ICRC has so far stated that it is assisting farmers in Oromia, Somali, Amhara and Tigray regions with the delivery of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs needed in this farming season.
