Ethiopian Investment Commission, Plan International Ink MoU to Promote Youth Economic Engagement –

Addis Ababa, August 12, 2022 (Walta) – Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) signed a strategic partnership MoU with Plan International Ethiopia to jointly foster their strategic pillars-promoting youth livelihoods through the promotion of skills opportunity and youth economic engagement and creating sustainable and decent jobs through attracting quality investment.

The engagement will strengthen and enhance the quality of labor supply and retain labor around Industrial Parks through integrated community service support. The partners have agreed to collaborate in promoting productivity improvement and enhancing the employability of youth in Ethiopia.

Daniel Teressa, Deputy Commissioner of EIC, and Hiwotie Simachew, Plan Ethiopia Deputy Country Director signed the agreement. Both officials expressed their eagerness to work together to improve workforce retention and create decent jobs and skilled labor supply. They also reaffirmed their commitment to realizing the changes in the immediate future.
