Addis Ababa, August 9, 2022 (Walta) – Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute and Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China have signed MoU for cooperation in Optical Character Recognition technology.
The MoU is aimed at broadening the scope of cooperation between Africa and China in the science and technology and human resource development sectors, it was stated at the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, the Chinese University would help the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute in developing a data center that would help adapt African texts with online technologies.
