Ethiopia Welcomes Signing of Sudan’s Framework Agreement –

Addis Ababa, December 6, 2022 (Walta) – The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has welcomed the signing of a Political Framework Agreement between civilian political forces and the military institution in Sudan.

Sudanese stakeholders from the military component and the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) on Monday signed the Political Framework Agreement which seeks to establish a new transitional period.

According to MoFA, the agreement is an important step towards forming a civilian government that would lead the country to free and fair national election.

Ethiopia, while fully supports the agreement and its implementation, has a full confidence on the wisdom of the Sudanese military and political forces to lead their country to a democratic transition to the satisfaction of the aspiration of the Sudanese people.
