Electricity restored to Humera distribution sub-station after two years absence

Electricity has been restored to Humera distribution sub-station after two years absence, the Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) disclosed on Sunday.

In a press statement, EEP said electricity was restored to the sub-station after maintenance work was completed on the 230 kilometers long 230 Kilovolts Humera-Shire electricity transmission line.

The EEP statement further said the restoration of the Humera distribution sub-station will allow cities who are part of the sub-station receive electricity once again.

The EEP statement didn’t disclose the number and name of cities which will be beneficiaries of the restoration work of the Humera distribution sub-station.

Nevertheless, EEP said it plans to continue with work to restore electricity to areas which have lost of electricity access but haven’t had their electricity restored yet.
