Anti-Corruption Committee Commences Operations to Fight Corruption –

Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (Walta) – National Anti-Corruption Committee has commenced work and announced a major crackdown on corruption and organized theft.

The Committee commenced its operations focusing on , several high level officials from land administration and government housing management, security and justice institutions, financial sector, and government revenue and customs offices.

According to earlier investigations, alleged theft criminals various levels, including Tewedros Bekele, Director General of Ethiopian Financial Security Services, Information Network Management, National Security Service, police, prosecutors and judges have been arrested.

More than 250 tip-offs were collected from the community in just one week since the establishment of the National Anti-corruption Committee.

The Committee encouraged the community to continue the tip-off through the toll-free telephone line, 9555.
